“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, have not perished.” Malachi 3.16
God spoke through the prophet Malachi to God’s people in a period of uncertainty and change. God reminded them of God’s nature. While people might be unfaithful, God was always good. As a people, they had endured to that point because God had held on to them, even when they turn away.
We are facing a transition. Sometimes the transition is exciting and is something we choose to enter, a heading off to a new job, a new home, or a new relationship. Sometimes the transition comes to us, perhaps unwelcome.
Either way, it is a time when we have the chance to see God at work in our lives.
