We meet Nehemiah in this week’s lesson. We move from the action in the ruins of Jerusalem to thousands of kilometers away in Susa, the capital of the Persian Empire, where Nehemiah is an important servant of the King of Persia.
God stirs Nehemiah’s heart and, at great personal risk, Nehemiah approaches the Persian throne with a request.
