We have followed Jesus into Jerusalem. A crowd celebrated and children sang while soldiers watched from behind shields and spears.

In the night that followed this joyful scene, Jesus stepped into the midst of a very different crowd. This group sought to have him humiliated and executed.

John wrote about both of these events so that “you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in his name.”
