Joel Russell-MacLean
We pray for Jesus’ return, when he will set all things right in heaven and on earth. All things will be shaken until the only things left are true, good, beautiful and eternal. All of this work is in Jesus’ merciful hands. As we wait for that day, we find Jesus visits us now, through the Holy Spirit, to make his home in us. His advent in our personal lives at times shakes us inwardly and shakes our lives, as he leads us toward the full life God always intended for us.
This final Sunday before Advent, we are reminded of our anticipation of Jesus’ coming and invited to prepare our hearts for him.
