“Where God guides, He provides”.
Have you ever used this phrase to encourage yourself or other Christians when they are faced with a critical need? Many of us can look back and see occasions in our lives where God has provided a critical need for ourselves or our congregation.
God had miraculously led Israel from Egypt, through the Red Sea and into the wilderness to camp in a place where there was no drinking water. Their families and livestock were getting thirstier by the hour…this is understandably a critical need…even a crisis! Rather than focusing on God’s presence in parting the Red Sea and providing “manna” to eat, many in the Nation were fixated on their immediate thirst. They responded by questioning God’s presence asking, “Is God with us or not?”
How do we respond when a new faith challenging personal health, financial, or relational crisis occurs, or when experiences of discrimination descend on us?
