Joel Russell-MacLean
“On the Seventh Day, God rested.” Many of us know these words. I’m not really sure how a timeless, all-powerful being kicks back and takes a break. However, when Jesus found himself in a debate about the day of rest, he said, “My Father is still working, and I also am working.” If we want to know what is God’s work, we have to look no farther than Jesus. God’s work is life itself. Jesus made visible God’s invisible life creating and life sustain work. Jesus also revealed that this life-giving source was here now in the flesh, in him.

A Collective Prayer Initiative from the CBWC
Our denomination is encouraging all CBWC Churches to pray together Sunday mornings through seven Sundays starting January 9th. We will be jumping into this initiative already in progress this Sunday for week two.
