“North of 60” Afternoon Tea and Social
“North of 60” is a group for retirees. It has the goal of offering a relaxed time to catch up with one another, enjoy being together, and share a few words of encouragement and pray. Sometimes we even hear from someone in our community. Based on feedback, we have found it works best to meet in our church library with access through either the office doors or the elevator entrance. The homemade baking has also been quite popular.

A special afternoon together with Christmas baking, carols, and “A Christmas Carol,” in play-form, by Charles Dickens.
Tuesday, January 13th, 1:00 pm.
Special guests from The Marian Centre will join us to share about their ministry, present on Halifax St. since 1966. The staff of the centre live together in there year round. They have taken vows of poverty and committed themselves to prayer and service to the poor. They are members of an international Catholic order, founded in Canada. Their doors are open weekdays for food, reading, games, and conversation and the staff circulate in the neighbourhood as well, praying and helping.

Regina Floral Conservatory
A special event will be in Regina’s warm and sunny conservatory, surrounded by the greenhouse plants and flowers. A light lunch will be served. RSVP is required.

Julia Krueger is the new curator for the University of Regina, responsible for the care and presentation of all the art donated to the University. She will be sharing about the impact the art has on the students, staff and visitors in the university. She will also share her research into craft in Saskatchewan history, a passion of hers.

Do you remember your baptism? A significant change when Jesus came in to your life? A special event or crisis when God spoke or did something that you will never forget? As we gather from our summer break, we will be sharing stories and testimonies and singing favourite hymns.

Hymn Sing
Calla-Dawn Brooks, one of our pianists and our choir’s accompanist over the past three years, will be our special guest. We will hear a bit of her story and with her help, sing some of our favourite hymns.

Guest Speaker: Jennifer Holtslander, Hospital Chaplain and ordained minister
Jenn is a Chaplain at Pasqua Hospital. She is a Spiritual Director, Preaching Pastor at Norman-Kennedy Presbyterian and was on staff at First Baptist for over 10 years. She is also currently working towards a PhD in Educational Psychology. Jenn will share about palliative care, spiritual care, and grief, and about her own life, while leaving lots of time for questions and discussion.

“The Passion in Art.”
As this is Tuesday in Holy Week, we will be reflecting on Jesus’ passion through art. Timothy was the Head Curator for the MacKenzie Art Gallery for over 30 years and has led many presentations and talks in the community and in the church.
