“Paul’s letter to the Galatians”
We read and study books of the Bible like the letter to the Galatians because we wish to know the heart and mind of God, and we wish to be transformed in our own heart and mind. Galatians raises questions like:
- What is the gospel?
- Is there only one way into God’s new family?
- How do we deal with dangerous opponents?
- How do we reconcile Christianity’s claim to uniqueness with our culture’s emphasis on inclusion and tolerance?
- What is Christian freedom and how do we avoid abusing our freedom?
Our desire is to become more like Jesus… to become truly human as God intended. This letter is God’s gift and will help us on our way.
Facilitated by Ron Phillips.
