A special thanks to our children and young people as they help to lead this Sunday.

This Sunday we transition from the season of Epiphany to the season of Lent. Jesus was transformed before the eyes of his disciples as they prayed together on a mountain. He was revealed with brilliant light and the voice of God announcing, “This is my Son. I delight in him.” This story serves well as Epiphany’s climax: Jesus revealing God on earth. The light-filled mountaintop is also a turning point in the Gospels.

Jesus descended and began his journey to Jerusalem and the cross.
