Fall Kick-off

Many of our ministries got underway again in September. At North of 60, we shared testimonies of our baptisms and other meaningful times God has been there for us. The Youth Group has met each week at different homes and the church. It is lovely to have our Sanctuary choir leading the singing again and their anthems have been lovely. Every Saturday, with other churches from Regina, we continue to serve guests a simple bagged lunch. Some Saturdays have seen up to 160 people. There are so many ways everyone helps out, from these group activities to the practical support we share personally with one another. Thank you to everyone who is helping in various ways.

For our fall sermon series, we are looking at journeys people made in the bible and reflecting about the journey of our own lives. Just like many of us, people in the bible often wondered what lay ahead and if God was with them. Jesus taught us that we are travelling toward the resurrection and the day of judgment and the Great Renewal of all things. He also taught us that we are travelling toward our own transformation.

Best of all, crucially, Jesus promises to be with us all along the way, through all the uncertainty, joy, pain, good times and grief, to the very end.

May you know that your life is connected to the world that is coming. May you know that Jesus is near you and may his presence give you strength for today.

Yours, with love,

Pastor Joel
