All Saints Day is an old tradition, celebrated on November 1st or the following Sunday. For many of us, it is a new and unusual celebration and maybe we aren’t sure what to make of it. We don’t worship the “saints,” so, what is going on here?
Through the darkest times, through martyrdom, disaster, plague, and war, this was a day set aside to celebrate that Jesus has made death the gateway to life, and that others have gone ahead of us to show us the way and to give us courage.
This retreat is a chance for anyone who wants to join others as we grow in prayer, listen to the Bible, and listen to God. Consider setting aside these three days. Try to limit or cancel other commitments, slow down, and take part in scripture, prayer and readings from the lives of the Saints. All the prayer times will be in person or online, so that people can join us from home or work.
Please speak with one of the pastors if you are interested or for more information.
