Monday, May 6th to Thursday May 9th
The Ascension of Jesus is celebrated forty days (see Acts 1:3) after the celebration of the Resurrection. This year we celebrate Jesus receiving all authority in heaven and on earth on Thursday May 9th. Like other churches, we usually celebrate it on the Sunday following the actual day.
Once again, we invite everyone to set aside the days leading up to Jesus’ Ascension and to join the prayer, fasting, and celebration as they can. This will be a chance to grow in prayer and to reflect on the meaning of this important celebration.
We have created a schedule that allows people to continue with their regular work. All the prayer times will be in the sanctuary and online. On Monday evening, we will begin with a reflection on the Ascension of Jesus and a few words about retreat. The retreat ends with a good meal together on Thursday.
Please speak with one of the pastors if you are interested or for more information.
