“North of 60” Afternoon Tea and Social

“North of 60” is a group for retirees. It has the goal of offering a relaxed time to catch up with one another, enjoy being together, and share a few words of encouragement and pray. Sometimes we even hear from someone in our community. Based on feedback, we have found it works best to meet in our church library with access through either the office doors or the elevator entrance. The homemade baking has also been quite popular.

Carol Radford-Grant is Saskatchewan’s Provincial Archivist. She and her husband David are new to Regina and First Baptist these past few years. She will be joining us to share material from our province’s archives as well as her delight in her work.

A discussion on suffering and death as followers of Jesus, with the current Canadian medical context in view.

Julia and Belinda from the Saskatchewan Arts Board will be presenting. They will describe the scope of the work of the Arts Board, bring pictures from their collection of Saskatchewan artists, and share advice about planning for the care of art pieces at the end of this life.
