Reading as Disciples – The Gospel of Mark

New Learning for Life class begins March 1, 2026

Sundays, beginning March 1, 2026, 9:30, in the Board Room.
Facilitator: Ron Phillips

We will be reading through the Gospel of Mark, paragraph by paragraph, and continually asking two questions:

  1. What does the text tell us about Jesus?
  2. What does the text tell us about following Jesus?

The goal is to sharpen our picture and understanding of Jesus, and to grasp clearly what a life of following Jesus will look like. So to go hard after Jesus and to live such a life!

And the goal is to grasp over and over again the Good News that Mark is telling us. For the Good News is what makes this life possible.

Bring your Bible, and perhaps a notebook and pen. This course is suitable for those simply curious about Jesus, as well as for those who have already set out on the journey of following Jesus, and want to bear down.
