“Romans” – Paul’s Letter to the Church in Rome

New Learning for Life class begins September 7 2025

Sunday, September 7, 9:30, on Zoom only. A special preview. How did Paul’s experiences shape his letter to the Romans?

Sunday, September 14, 9:30, in the library and on Zoom.

In this remarkable letter, Paul summons us to participate in the death and resurrection of Jesus, to be transformed and ready for a new creation.

Paul’s ministry began when Jesus met him on the Damascus road and called him to take the good news to people who had never heard it. Years later, when Paul wrote the to church in Rome, he had never been there. News had reached him of friction between the Jews and Gentiles in Rome. That made him long to go there and explain that Jesus had died and rose again for everybody. While he waited for an opportunity to go, he wrote this letter, in which we have the fullest explanation in the New Testament of what Jesus has done for all of us.

Come prepared to meet the living Jesus afresh, and to be challenged both intellectually and spiritually.

Don’t miss these sessions as Annabel leads us in studying and applying in our lives one of the church’s most powerful documents.
