Lenten Study on Forgiveness
Why does forgiving those who have wronged us often seem difficult? Although the practice of forgiving others is apparently a basic aspect of Christian discipleship it seems little discussed, perhaps somewhat misunderstood and is possibly one of the more neglected spiritual disciplines.
What does forgiveness mean? How does a biblical concept of forgiveness compare with that of modern psychology?
Can we only forgive those who admit they are wrong? Are some sins unforgiveable? Can we “get even” with someone by not forgiving them? Is there a difference between making an apology and asking for forgiveness?
What role does forgiveness play in justice and reconciliation?
