Funeral for Al Basky
A funeral service for Allan Gordon Basky will be held Thursday February 17th at 2:00 pm.
Allan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 with his family by his side at the age of 84. He was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Irene. Allan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Eva; children Gale (Eric), Darla (Scott), Steven (Jacqueline); six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four siblings Victor (Karen), Gordon (Doris), Ed (Lorie) and Donna. He was the first child of Gordon and Irene.
Allan’s first love was gardening and farming with his dad and brother Victor. He worked various jobs from meatpacker, groundskeeper at Wascana Park and custodian at the Exhibition Association. Allan was very musically inclined, playing the accordion and tuba with his family at many different occasions. Also, singing in two choirs, Regina Male Voice Choir and the church choir.
Allan will be missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allan’s memory may be made to the First Baptist Church or the Heart and Stroke foundation.
