Easter…

But lo! there breaks, a yet more glorious day, the saints triumphant rise in bright array “For All the Saints”

Winter on the prairies heightens the joy of spring. The weather is warming up and it is time to be watching for signs of spring from your window or your balcony, or maybe even on a walk you treat yourself to. We’ll soon see Robins and Junco. Tree buds will begin to soften.

We are coming toward the end of Lent. Easter is upon us. Soon, we will look out at a sunrise that recalls to us a dawn from long ago that poured light into an empty tomb. Jesus’ friends and family awoke that morning from a nightmare of grief and fear.

This was not the end of all trials in their lives but the first Easter sunrise remained a light in their hearts and minds that would not be extinguished. They knew that the world was waiting for an even more glorious dawn. One day, heaven’s light will break across earth’s horizon with the return of Jesus, heralding the end of the night of evil, sickness, and death.

May the light of Jesus shine in your hearts and minds today and every day. This congregation is looking for ways to support and care for each other. You are all being prayed for daily. Let’s remain in touch with one another and in prayer for our world.

May Jesus give you strength in the midst of your daily challenges.

With love, Pastor Joel
