Dear First Baptist Church Family,
You have likely heard of the changes being made to restrictions across Saskatchewan and you may be wondering how this will affect our congregation.
First, we will continue to offer worship services and other ministries over Zoom, Facebook, and Youtube.
Secondly, for the coming weeks of Lent through to Palm Sunday, there will be no change to our current capacity of 30 people for in-person Sunday morning worship. Our priority continues to be to allow those without internet to participate safely on Sunday morning, in person.
Finally, over the past year, many of you have shown increasing devotion to God through diligence in prayer, practical helps and gifts for others, and phone calls and notes. You’ve chosen to give others the benefit of the doubt in the midst of mixed messages and confusion, to give thanks in the midst of loss, and to be patient in the midst of frustration. Thank you so much for every prayer, every good word, and every kind deed. This is what God continues to call us to no matter what changes come.
If you have not experienced the love of this congregation for one another, consider drawing closer. There are many ways you can grow in friendship and prayer with the people in this church family. To see what groups are meeting at present, see your weekly newsletter, check the Calendar of Events on our website, or speak with one of our pastors or deacons.
Looking toward the day when we will all sit together around the table.
With my love and prayers,
